The Lili-Pad Safari Tent

Grose Vale, NSW Just over an hour from Sydney Bring: Cosy layers
The Lili-Pad Safari Tent exterior on the deck
The outdoor bath with a view over the property
Standing on the jetty over the dam
A highland cow grazing by the dam

Glamping done right, a private safari tent on a 30-acre property with its own dam, an outdoor bath, and an inside fireplace for winter. Swap the sleeping bag for hotel-grade linen and spend a night under the stars listening to actual bellbirds.

My experience & recommendations

  • Tucked into its own little valley, you get the whole area to yourself, no other campers in sight.
  • Outdoor bath, a fire pit, and a hammock to actually unplug in, no wifi on site except an emergency spot up near the house.
  • Roam the property as much as you want, dam views, bush all around, real bellbirds.
  • Genuinely one of the best places I've stayed, hands down. Would book again in a heartbeat.

Good to know

BYO firewood: for a 2-night stay bring 2 bags of logs, 1 bag of kindling, firelighters and a lighter (double it in winter if you're running the fireplace all day).
